A: Trees are being cleared at the Moe Road campus entrance for three reasons:  a new sign is being built on the corner, to improve visibility and many are dead and in danger of falling over.

I received the email today regarding breakfast. It prompted me to write. I have seen many students eating breakfast in the cafeterias in the morning. Unfortunately most, if not all are choosing high sugar content cereals, chocolate milk, apple juice, pancakes and syrup, etc. These are far from healthy choices or options. Why are they even offered? No protein and pure sugar and carb? I don’t get it. As the school,we should be making smarter choices so the students can have smarter options. With the incredible rigor of the current curricula, students need not be going to class “high” on breakfast.

A: We offer low, or no sugar, cereal (Cheerios and Kix), fat free chocolate milk, 100% juice items and whole grain options. We also offer other protein items including eggs and peanut butter. We offer the students a variety of items to encourage healthy eating habits now and later in life.

Is there a maximum number of (legal) absences that a student is allotted before there are consequences? I thought I read somewhere that depending on if it was a half year or full year class if a student reached a certain amount of absences that they would have to drop the class. Is that true?
