I was wondering why Shen students pay more for drivers ed than Burnt Hills students? It costs $410 for the class at Shen and only $300 at Burnt Hills.

A.  The course fee for the Drivers Ed. program is determined by and in collaboration with Bell’s Driving School.  We do not know the specifics regarding the contents and management of the program offered at Burnt Hills.

Why isn’t there a traffic light at the high school entrance off Moe road? Every person I talk to, parents and staff alike, feel Is it very dangerous and like the HS parking lot, it’s only a matter of time till someone gets hurt.

Has there been any talk about making kindergarten all day, instead of half day? Half day kindergarten is ridiculous, especially for working parents. How does 2.5 hours of school prepare a child for 1st grade???

Why do public schools budgets have to pay for the busing of students to non-public (non Shen schools)? This comes out of taxpayer money for families that choose not to go to Shen schools. That’s over $100,000 is expenses. Why wouldn’t this fall on the family that chooses to go to a private school? Thank you.
