Why am I hearing that there is mrsa going around the football team and over 10 people have it? Is this something I should be concerned about, is this going to spread into the school?

As a school and community I think we all need to recognize that vaping in our middle schools and high schools is becoming a problem that we can’t ignore. Our youth are seeing vaping as “cool” and not a health risk because they are marketed as “safe” as compared to cigarettes. As a school please help!

At Friday nights Homecoming game I heard a student was taken away by ambulance after vomiting and passing out. Will this be address and I would think this is a perfect opportunity for the school to stress how dangerous, drinking and drugs can be. I know that SHEN is not immune too many parents think the this doesn’t happen at SHEN. We need to make parents realize that it does not matter where you come from poor, middle-class, rich it effects all of us. I hope the district takes the opportunity to hold some kind of assembly to wake kids and especially the parents up. It is a crazy world out there and we need to be involved with our children.

A. Unfortunately, sometimes students make poor decisions and are disciplined for it according to our code of conduct. The district constantly has programs related to the consequences of destructive decisions.
