7426--Students SUBJECT: STUDENT ACTIVITY CODE OF CONDUCT The Board of Education recognizes the importance of students experiencing a wide range of positive, constructive extra-curricular opportunities. Such opportunities help students to explore interests that support the characteristics described in the Profile of a Shenendehowa Graduate. These clubs and activities are considered privileges for students enrolled in the Shenendehowa Central School District. Students participating in any club or activity are expected to do the following:
Students who do not meet these expectations may be suspended or removed from the extra-curricular activity. Student Participation Based on Election, Audition, or Competitive
Selection This segment of the policy shall apply only to students participating in District sanctioned organizations, student government, and other activities for which the following criteria are met: · Student participation is based on election, audition or competitive selection. · Said group represents the school or District in performances, productions, or competition. · Membership/participation is voluntary and not a requirement of a course. Students whose participation meets the above criterion shall maintain a grade point average of 65 or higher. Regulations shall be developed to promulgate this policy.
