Shen Summer Adventures - The Shenendehowa Central School District, in conjunction with the Community Education Department, is pleased to sponsor our Summer Enrichment Program for students entering grades 1-12. Some camps are half-day camps while others are full day camps. Most camp directors and staff members are current Shenendehowa employees. All camps will be located primarily on the Shenendehowa campus.
Summer School - The Shenendehowa Summer School Program provides students in grades 6-12 with an opportunity to take courses for credit recovery, skill building and acceleration (Health). It runs for five weeks in July and August from 8 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. It also provide the opportunity for students to re-take the Regents exams in August.
The High School Summer School Program also offers driver's education. This non-credit course includes 24 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of on the road instruction. Students must have a valid NYS Learners Permit or license prior to taking the program. Click here for more information.
This program was designed, in accordance with New York State Learning Standards, to help children in developing reading, writing, and math skills. A team of certified teachers works with children daily for the four weeks of the program. Click here to view the website for the 2010 Literacy Support Program.
