Congratulations to the following Chango students who were elected for the received the 2013 Physical Education Student Leadership Award: Benjamin Kniskern, Nicholas Lemire, Matthew Miller, Emma Norris, Annabelle Sala. These students were selected for consistently demonstrating sportsmanship, displaying positive attitudes, possessing a strong work ethic, exhibiting a willingness to learn and improve, being involved in the school community, and for being role models for their fellow peers.

Fun Day 2013 will be held on Wednesday-June 5th (with Rain Dates of Thursday-June 6th and Wednesday-June 12th if needed). There will be more information to follow as the event gets closer and you can also check out Coach Fersch’s PE webpage for information as well.

The Chango fifth graders complied lists of their favorite books. The lists are now on display to help other students select books from and so the students can challenge themselves to read across the different genre types.

Chango Elementary School PTA is offering two $750 scholarships to graduating Shenedehowa seniors who attended and graduated from Chango Elementary School. Scholarships are granted based on academic achievement, participation in extra-curricular activities, and community service. Applications are available at HSE Counseling Center and should be completed and returned by March 8, 2013.
Chango Student Council members collected non-perishable food items for their Annual Food Drive. It was a great success!
Chango honored America's Veterans is a special way. A Veteran wall, banner, and display case proudly showed their appreciation and thanks!
