Karigon is one of four K-5 elementary schools located on the main campus. It is connected to Orenda Elementary School sharing a cafeteria/auditorium. It opened in 1968.

New Rock-climbing Wall at Rock Climbing WallKarigon
Karigon students, Principal Wing and Coach Decker enjoy the new rock-climbing wall.
Funding for this gymnastics equipment will benefit all Karigon students K-5 and was provided by the fifth grade class of 2014 (Legacy Gift) and the Shenendehowa Educational Foundation.
A huge thank you to Coach Decker for writing the grant proposal and last year’s fifth grade students for raising funds at their “5th Grade’s Got Talent” event!

Karigon students in Rebecca Plouff’s art classes participated in a menu contest in collaboration with Villa Pizza from the mall. 5th grader, Julia Leary won. The class received a pizza party for their participation. Julia’s design will be on the menus of Villa Pizza.

Karigon 5th Graders learned about Wayne Theibaud and his famous dessert paintings. Students were given the challenge of creating a container with clay. Using the clay building techniques and rules to join clay, each student was successfully able to create a unique and delicious ‘baked good’ sculpture.
