Beginning September 2009, Shenendehowa has prepared  district-wide supply list guidelines for elementary schools. Click here to view. This is an effort to regulate the amount of supplies that parents have to purchase at the beginning of the year. Kindergarten Supply List 2 heavy duty pocket folders (no metal clasps) 1 rectangular (5” x 8”) plastic pencil box 1 box (24 pk.) Crayola crayons 1 box (8 pk.) skinny Crayola markers 2 jumbo glue sticks 1 box (24 pk.) Dixon-Ticonderoga pencils sharpened 1 pink or gum block eraser Girls: 1 box zipper top 2 gallon bags Boys:  1 box zipper top sandwich bags Please clearly label everything except pencils with your child’s first and last name, including each individual crayon and marker.  While this seems tedious, it helps children be independent in taking care of their things. Note that teachers may need to request replenishments of consumable items, such as glue sticks, later in the year. We currently have enough tissues to start the year.  We may need to ask for tissues later in the year. Crayola Crayons—not Rose Art Ticonderoga Pencils (the sharpeners seem to “eat” the less expensive brands) Grade 5 Supply List 5 Heavy duty pocket folders, holes in the middle–red, blue, yellow, green & purple. 1 Three ring binder -  NO zippered, heavy type binder Pencil/Pen storage – zippered pouch, (one that has holes and can fit into the binder. PLEASE, NO PLASTIC BOXES!
