Shenendehowa High School is comprised of two buildings: East and West. Both are located on the main campus of Shenendehowa. Students in grades 10-12 attend the East Building and students in grade 9 attend the West Building.

Shen Crew participated in New York State Rowing Championships for Scholastic and Club Rowing on Fish Creek. There were 570 entries from 74 clubs(54 cities) within New York State. Four Shen boats medaled and several boats will be advancing to Scholastic Rowing National Championships on Memorial Day weekend in Camden, NY. [MORE]
Shen competed against 13 different teams in the Saratoga Envirothon and placed 2nd in current issues, and 3rd in soils and 5th overall. [MORE]
The Shen Latin Department hosted seven schools in a Certamen, which is a Latin Jeopardy type game. [MORE]
Brian Sprague was selected as the 2011-2012 Outstanding Business Education Student and was recognized at the annual Business & Marketing Educators’ Association of the Capital District. [MORE]

Shen HS student Katie Nolan's billboard was selected to appear on a billboard on Route 9. For 11 years the graphic design class at the high school has teamed up with Lamar Advertising and Linda Campion from the Kathleen A. Campion Foundation to promote awareness of the dangers involved with drinking and driving.

Shenendehowa HS Art students celebrate
participation in several competitive art shows within the Capital
Region.
• The Arts in Three-Dimensions show features the work of eight Shenendehowa HS students. This year’s exhibition consists of 67 works from 11 districts. The annual show is an opportunity for Capital Region schools to highlight and showcase their three-dimensional art programs. Included in this exhibit are works made from clay, wire, jewelry, plaster, paper-mache, wood and found materials. The show is on exhibit from February 1 through February 29, 2012 at Mohonasen High School’s Art Gallery.
• The 13th Annual High School Regional Juried Art Exhibition features the work of 12 Shenendehowa students. A total of 101 works out of a possible 489 submissions were selected for exhibition. This show is sponsored by CAAS and hosted by the College of Saint Rose and is open for viewing from February 15 through March 15th at The Esther Massry Gallery.
• 44 Shen students contributed to the All-Stars exhibit sponsored by the Saratoga Arts Center earlier this January.

This Friday the December 9th, the Tri-M Music Honor Society is hosting “Shen’s Got Talent”; a singing, dancing, and performing extravaganza. The show will start at 7:00 in the High School East Auditorium. Tickets will be $5 at the door.
The High School West Environment Club has generously donated all of the money it has collected from can and bottle recycling this semester to the Saratoga County Chamber Angel Program to support a child in need this holiday season.

Veterans Day Ceremony. This year, Korean War veteran
Cornelius "Bud" Albert received his honorary high school
diploma making him the first graduate of the class of
2012!. Mr. Albert left high school to join the army. His
grandchildren attend Tesago Elementary. The ceremony also
included the Presentation of Colors and the POW MIA
Ceremony by the American Legion. The Mostly A Capella
choir sang the national anthem. [MORE
