| V. Rinella (East) | |
| Students care for animals and plants within the botany lab.
The exact stock is constantly changing as the interests of new students
influences our decisions, but we currently have an array of mammals,
reptiles, amphibians, several fresh water aquaria and a 90 gal salt water
tank. Some students focus on the plants, propagating and caring for an
expanding collection changing with the seasons. The lab is kept at a
constant temp of 75 with humidity of 70%. There are
currently about 20-25 students in the Biology Club. Some students come
in over all vacation periods to clean the lab thoroughly and occasionally
take some of the animals home for one or two weeks. |

US First Robotics Competition |
|
| P. Kane (East) | |
| The FIRST Robotics Competition is an exciting, nationwide competition that teams professionals and young people to solve an engineering design problem in an intense and competitive way. The program is a life-changing, career-molding experience – and a lot of fun. For the past 11 years Shen has participated in this event to have engineers show students how to take a concept and turn it into a robot that measures 36”x30”x60” and a weight of 130 pounds to compete against other robots in a “friendly” battle (not battlebots). | |
