Koda Middle School

  • Koda 6th-grader Ivan Aviles was the Grand Prize Winner of the PEP Project Kind Wonder-inspired poster contest. Koda Counselor, Isaiah Vail, presented the Grand Prize and Congressman Paul Tonko presented Ivan with a Congressional Award! The award-winning book Wonder by RJ Palacio is read in classrooms across the country to teach lessons about compassion, tolerance, and acceptance. Students in the Capital Region were invited to join a movement of kindness inspired by a local 12-year-old Wonder kid named Megan who lives with a facial difference. PEP’s Project Kind Hundreds of students from 5 area schools  joined this movement of kindness by entering a Wonder-inspired poster contest. The winning artwork can be seen at PEPProjectKind.com and was on display at Bow Tie Criterion Cinemas, Saratoga Springs.

Welcome to Koda Middle School

Photo of Koda Middle SchoolKoda is the newest of three middle schools located on the main campus. It opened in 1999. The three middle schools buildings are attached and share core areas such as gym, libraries, etc., however, they function as separate schools.

Mission:

The mission of Koda Middle School is to create an environment where students meet or exceed all academic standards and evolve into responsible, respectful, and caring young adults. Such an environment is created through cooperative efforts of staff that:

  • Build partnerships with students and parents.
  • Model respect and responsibility
  • Instill a love of learning in students.
Start & Dismissal Times:

School starts at 8:55 a.m. 
School is dismissed at 3:35 p.m.
Half day dismissal at 12:17 p.m.
