Welcome to Fourth grade!  I think that you are going to love it.  When you come to class you will meet our class mascot "Champ" the chimp.  Look for him throughout this website, he will guide you to some interesting internet sites.

Dear Parents,

We have been very busy.  Just read all about it...

In Mrs. Fisher’s class we are just finishing up the New York State Math Test. We are also learning about fractions. We aren’t so far but we are starting to get more into it. We also are doing mixed numbers with fractions. We are going to be working very hard for the next month. Thank you for listening. - Ashley

In Social Studies we are working on the Revolutionary War. Our class just finished The French and Indian War. We played the skittle-tax game to understand how taxes were back in the 1700’s. Soon we will come into class dressed like a person back then. This is what we are doing in social studies.

I have an itchy feeling that you want to know what we are doing in science. We are on Electricity. We have tested complete circuits and built circuit testers. We have learned parts of a light bulb and how it works. Also how many batteries it takes to light a light bulb. There’s a lot more to come, just watch and see!!!! Well if you want to know about gym you’ve come to the right guy. Well we just ended gymnastics.   First the equipment, there’s a cheese wheel, tarzan rope, balance beam, rings, still rings, and a horse beam.  A lot are fun and some are dangerous. Well, I’m sorry but I got to go, I hope you enjoyed learning about gym.  By Andrew

Beth Bidwell came to the Fourth grade and showed us just what an owl pellet was.  Some of us were really afraid in the beginning, but our curiosity got the better of us, and  soon we were all searching through our pellets to see what treasures they held.  We can't wait till her next visit when she will show us her New York State animal collection.
