Gowana Tech 7 students build a prototype electric vehicle from plans they made using Autodesk Inventor’s 3-D solid modeling software.
Gowana’s first Fab Friday is held to celebrate outstanding behavior throughout the evacuation drill
RPI Engineering Ambassadors provide
lessons and hands-on activities to Tech 8 students to
promote engineering. The two workshops were:
Snowboarding – A look at the science and materials behind designing snowboards. Students create a model snowboard then test it on a replica of a ski mountain.
Robotics – Students learn how engineers apply science and mathematical algorithms to program robots that navigate around obstacles.
Gowana seventh-grade science students use Molecule Maker kits to learn about the molecules that make up living things.
After a close reading of an article on "Behaviors to Avoid in the Workplace," Gowana students in Mrs. McDonald's 6th grade Reading class created "tableaux" - or "frozen statues" to better understand text. 
Gowana Team 7-1 enjoys a day at Fort William Henry!
Shen middle schools held a Career Day for 8th graders.
