Okte School Supplies 2011-12

Kindergarten

One large size back pack with at least 2 compartments that your child can open & close easily.
Two laminated paper folders with picture on the front; pockets on the bottom; no center clips
Two boxes of 8 count Crayola brand Crayons –
Two large glue sticks – 1.4 oz. size
One box of 200- count tissues

A.M. students: One box of 24 count Crayola brand Crayons
P.M. students: One package of 8 or 10 count Fine Tip Crayola brand Washable Markers


$8.00 activity fee
One recent, close-up picture of your child that we will trim to 2” X 2”

These items SHOULD be brought to school on the day of your child’s screening session. Thank you.

 

Grade 1

1 inch, 3 ring binder, non-flexible cover
2 packages of #2 Ticonderoga yellow school pencils (sharpened)
1 box of Crayola Crayons (no larger that 24 due to limited storage)
5 Jumbo glue sticks (NOT LIQUID GLUE)
1 set of Crayola Magic Markers thick tip
1 set of Crayola Magic Markers skinny tip
2 marble composition notebooks
1 two-pocket folder, any color
1 plastic pencil box
1 large box of tissues

In addition to these supplies, which are located in the PTA “Back to School Pack”, your child will need:

An art smock (an old t-shirt works best)
$10.00 activity fee to cover the cost of cooking and extra projects that we cannot get through school (Cash only please).

6 Folders – 1 of each color: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple (folders with pockets on the bottom are easier to use than the folders with pockets on the sides)
One box of the gallon Ziploc bags for projects and assignments
One large box of tissues for classroom sharing
Art smock or large t – shirt
Please label all items with your child’s name.
*A swimsuit (one-piece for girls, trunks for boys) and towel will be needed for three weeks during the fall when the PE classes will be receiving swim instruction at the Shenendehowa Aquatic Center.

1 package of holed notebook paper (wide ruled)
6 poly (plastic covered) pocket folders: red, green, blue, purple, orange, & yellow

sturdy pencil bag (no boxes) with the following items:
o 2- 10pks of sharpened no. 2 Ticonderoga pencils

o package of 12 sharpened colored pencils

o 4 pack yellow highlighters

o 2 pack large pink erasers

o 1 jumbo glue stick

o Large stretchable fabric book covers

Note:
• We will provide scissors and rulers for the children. We will also give the children a Steno notebook for their spelling work. The Okte PTA will supply the children with an agenda book and a Take-Home folder.

 

Grade 5

 2 fine tip flair black pens – no Sharpies
2 one-inch binders with pockets – green and blue
1 package erasable pens – blue or black
1 set of colored pencils – box of 12

2 three subject spiral notebook – red and any other color
1 large package of lined loose leaf paper

5 Heavy duty poly-plastic folders -black, green, red, blue, any other Color

1 box of gallon or quart Ziploc bags – large quantity boxes are not necessary

Agenda books will be supplied by PTA to all students on the first day of school.
