Skano School Supplies 2011-12

Kindergarten

Backpack - large enough to carry art projects, library books, etc.
One rectangular hard plastic pencil box approximately. 5”x 8” (first and last name on pencil box)
One fabric pencil pouch (first and last name on pencil pouch)
One 12-24 pack sharpened Ticonderoga pencils (not labeled with name)
One 24 pack Crayola crayons (initials or first name on each crayon)
One 8-12 pack skinny markers (initials or first name on each marker)
One box tissues (not labeled with name)
One pink or gum block eraser (initials or first name on eraser)
Two large glue sticks (initials or first name on glue sticks)
Two poly two-pocket folders without clasps (first and last names on outside of folders)
Ziploc bags (2 or 2.5 gallon for boys) or (sandwich or quart size for girls)

*Please label supplies as noted.

*Please note that we ask for pencil boxes to be replenished over February vacation, as crayons break, markers dry out, and glue sticks get used up. You may want to pick up an extra set of markers, crayons, and glue sticks while prices are good!

 

Grade 1

Two packages of 24 sharpened Ticonderoga pencils
Two boxes – colored pencils (box of 12)
Crayons – Crayola box of 24 (please no larger)
Markers – Mr. Sketch or Crayola (a set of 8 – 10 thin markers)
Two Jumbo glue sticks
Composition notebook (marble covered, with sewn in pages, wide-ruled)
Two glossy covered two pocket folders (pockets on the bottom)
3-ring binder – 1” – hard covered
One box - gallon size Ziploc bags
One package of 4-inch square lined post-it notes
Pencil Box (Hard Plastic)
Book bag (This should be large enough and easy for your child to open and close)
Box of Tissues
$10 activity fee

Grade 2

Three heavy duty vinyl 2 pocket folders (please label w/child’s name)
One composition notebook - marble-wide rule (please label w/child’s name)
One block erasers- pink or gum
Crayola crayons – 24 count
Washable skinny markers (Crayola or Mr. Sketch-8-pack)
Two boxes Dixon Ticonderoga #2 pencils (sharpened)
Colored Pencils (12-pack Crayola)
Rectangular pencil box (8 X 5 hard plastic)
One large box of tissues
Three gumbo glue sticks

Grade 3

Folders (no metal clips, they must have holes or the ability to be hole punched - plastic is preferred as they will last all year.)
1 yellow
1 red
1 green
1 fun folder of your child’s choice

One black and white marble notebook
One package of skinny markers
One package of colored pencils
One jumbo glue stick (This will need to be replenished so keep extras on hand at home.)
Two pencils with erasers (This will need to be replenished regularly so keep extras on hand at home.)
Pink block eraser
Small pencil sharpener
One large box of tissues
One package of wide ruled loose leaf paper
One highlighter
Zipper pencil pouch for binder
1 ½ inch binder with clear plastic front

 

Grade 4

Heavy duty pocket folders – flexible vinyl (one of each color - red, blue, green, yellow, and purple)
Pencil/Pen storage (zippered pouch)
Crayons, box of 24, Crayola
Washable skinny markers – package of 8 – Crayola or Mr. Sketch
Colored Pencils – box of 12 Crayola
3X5 lined index cards
Highlighter
Two Composition notebooks (marble-wide ruled)
Loose leaf paper, wide-ruled, 150 sheets

Package of #2 Ticonderoga pencils (no mechanical pencils)

Package of either Skinny Markers or colored pencils (no permanent markers)
