Overview of 6^th grade technology!

Teachers -Mr. Redman, Mr. Banco, Mr. Soltis, Mr. Steli.

Time Frame: every other day all year.

Credit: 6^th grade=1/2 7^th grade=1/4^th 8^th= ½

Things Students Need:

Folder with some paper Labeled with name and group. Pencil and or pen etc. / (Ruler) / Agenda.

Disc or thumb drive (-optional) as necessary for bringing work to and from home.

Students entering 6th grade will have their first exposure to the exciting world of technology education.

Projects:

1. Introduction to Office and graphic design. Word Drawing Tools.

2. What is technology? Discovery.

3. Research invention & PowerPoint.

4. Keyboarding (All The Right Type).

5. Computer and CommunicationTechnology.

6. Technology Projects: Webpage design / Excel / Publisher / Movie Maker etc.

7. Sketching in CAD (Computer Aided Design).

8. Various Design Projects Solids / Revolutions / Extrusions.

9. Drawings.

10. Assemblies.

11. Final Project, Math / Science or Invention etc.

Rules:

1. Be on time or have pass from a teacher.

2. No talking during lesson when you are asked to be quiet.

3. Respect computers, keyboard and mouse.  Do not touch other students Computers or any of the monitor screens.

4. Keep your password secret!

5. Respect each other. Respect the teacher.

6. No hats, wheelies, gum, eating or drinking in class.

7. Stay on your assigned computer unless told otherwise.
