This year in science we will be studying 6 major units: Ecology, Light, Heat & Change, Rocks & Minerals, the Scientific Process, and Health & Nutrition. Each 5th grade teacher will be teaching one particular unit of study. In September we will begin by teaching a 3 week mini-unit on ecology in preparation for our trip to Camp Chingachgook. Sometime during the week of October 10th each teacher will begin their particular unit in science with their homeroom class. In early December, each homeroom class will then move to the next teacher to begin a new science unit for six weeks.
