" Be a Book Worm "
Book Clubs book is :
Students will be using the Harcourt Trophies for guided reading in the classroom. Students will be working on different vocabulary words each week as well as a new focus skill in reading. Vocabulary words will typically be for homework on Monday nights. They are to put them into complete sentences. Grammar is also a part of the instruction as well. There will be a different topic each week as well as homework in grammar three out of the four nights. Check the assignment notebook. The link below contains various activities to practice within the Harcourt website. Stories are read every Wednesday and tests are taken immediately after the story.

Math
Students are using the the new Math Connects this year. Please look in your child's take home folder for letters regarding new chapters and what the chapter will be focusing on. I have asked students to share this with you when they go home. Click on the link below to use the math textbook online. You must have the access code given to you at open house in the packet to use the textbook. For tests, we typically complete the chapter review in school. I have told students to keep all of their math worksheets handed back to them to use to study, as well as the textbook.
