Our Class

We are a peanut free classroom.  Some of our students and myself are allergic to peanuts so we are asking that peanuts and peanut products not be brought into our classroom.  Please keep this in mind with snacks and birthday treats.  Students may have peanut butter for lunch as long as they keep it in their lunchbox until they get to the cafeteria.  Thank you very much for your help with this.

Every day students will receive a raffle ticket at the end of the day if they are able to keep their name off of the board. Students will be able to earn a additional tickets everyday for making "good choices" in our class.  They can also earn a ticket by completing the weekly research question.  Every Friday they will have a chance to trade in their raffle tickets for small prizes or they can save their raffle tickets and enter them in a drawing at the end of the month for larger prizes.  Students may want to bring in a container to hold onto their tickets.

Students have an Assignment Notebook that will used to write down daily homework assignments.  This notebook should go home and brought back everyday.  After the first week or so students will have homework almost everyday.

Strive for 25

The students are challenged to read 25 grade level books during the school year.  Stusdents that reach this goal will receive a pizza party at the end of the year.  After they read each book they are required to fill out a reading slip.  The slips are available down below.
