  READING

Make reading enjoyable!

Set aside time for you to snuggle up with your child and read!

Read more complex chapter books to your child and discuss them in a natural way.

Pretend you are in a book club and discuss whatever pops into your or your child's head.

Why did something happen?  Who is ___?  I really liked__.

Make it a discussion not a quiz.

To improve fluency let your child read less complex, familiar books to you.

It's ok to reread books multiple times.
