We use the Harcourt Trophies spelling program. Each spelling lesson consists of 15 words. Ten words contain a specific spelling pattern or focus. The other 5 words are high frequency words and review words.
There are 6 themes in our spelling program. Each theme contains 5 lessons and 1 review lesson. A master list is sent home at the beginning of each theme.
Homework is given each Monday night. It is due back on Tuesday. Spelling assignments may vary. Tests are given at the end of each week.
A master copy of all 5 lessons is sent home at the beginning of each theme.
