In April, 30 girls from team 8-2 at Acadia took a field trip to RPI to meet with representatives from the Society of Women Engineers. They were allowed to tour various lab facilities, meet faculty and students, and ask some questions about what is involved with becoming an engineer.
Skano students recently partnered with the Clifton Park Hannaford store to spread awareness about Earth Day. Students in kindergarten-fifth grade decorated 425 brown paper bags. The bags were decorated with Earth Day pictures and slogans and then returned to Hannaford. The bags will now be used to bag groceries.
