Social Studies
The social studies program for fifth grade focuses on North and South America. We begin with the history of our government (the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Amendments) and the branches of our federal government . We will go on to cover the different regions in the United States and the countries in South and Central America.
The New York State Social Studies Exam is given to fifth grade in November, 2007.
