Throughout the course of this year, your child will bring home "take home books". These books will go home in a plastic Ziploc bag twice a week or only after they return the last set of books. Each set of books that go home will be at the reading level of your child.
When these books go home, please have your child read the book(s) to you. If they have trouble reading the book(s) you might want to have them reread the book(s) to you before returning them back to me. I am sending these "take home books" home to strengthen the students reading, fluency, comprehension, and sight word recognition. Each "take home book" bag will have a card in it with helpful suggestions/idea for you to review before, during, and after reading each book. In order for this program to be successful it is essential that your child reads to you.
Thank you!
