All second grade classes in the Shenendehowa District utilize  People We Know.  This Harcourt text focuses on six units:  Governing the People, The World Around Us, Using Our Resources, People Long Ago, A World of Many People, and People in the Marketplace. 

         Teachers model using a textbook with a Big Book (enlarged version).  Students may read from shared copies of the text.  Individual workbook activities help children practice skills and reinforce Social Studies concepts.
