PTA Elections - May 14

All parents are invited to attend the next general PTA meeting on June 4th to elect the new Executive Committee.

Here is where we stand:

  • President - Maureen DiMaria (returning)
  • Vice President - Open
  • Secretary - Susan Campbell (returning)
  • Treasurer - Sally Vanderzee (nominee)
  • One parent has stepped forward to fill the position of Treasurer, Sally Vanderzee, and so there remains one position that still needs to be filled, that being Vice President. Anyone interested in holding this position or need information on what is involved in holding this position on the Acadia PTA, please contact Sally Vanderzee at 371-7229 or email me at vanderzees@aol.com by May 10th.

    Please join us at the next PTA meeting on June 4th in the Acadia library at 7PM to vote and meet our nominees!

    Budget Vote - May 20, 2008

    The PTA encourages all eligible voters to vote on the Shenendehowa school budget. Read the 2008-09 budget proposal.

    Giffy's Barbeque on May 20

    Shenendehowa PTA Council is sponsoring a Giffy's Barbeque on the day of the school budget vote May 20, 2008. This event is being offered as a community service to encourage all community members to come out and vote. The barbeque will be held on the side yard between Gowana and Acadia Middle School.

    An Adult chicken dinner consisting of ½ chicken, baked potato cole slaw, cookie, roll, and drink will be available for $8:00. Meals can be purchased ahead of time through any of the district school’s PTA with a limited amount of meals available the day of the barbeque. Please return barbecue order forms to your school PTA by May 6, 2008. Meals will be available for pick up between 4pm and 7pm May 20, 2008.
