BAKE SALE
The Election Day Bake Sale was a huge success.
Due to an overwhelming response from volunteer bakers
we had enough goods to continue selling items into the
evening.  A big thanks also goes out to our corporate
sponsors who gave generously.  They include:
Hannaford, Price Chopper, Wendy's, Bombard Properties
and AV Bombard Construction.

NEWS FROM THE LIBRARY

Another exciting Holiday Season is upon us! We hope there will be gifts of books to be unwrapped. The imagination and magic that comes from books cannot be duplicated. Please take the time to enjoy this season by spending some of that time reading to your child. You will be surprised to find out who enjoys it more!

This year we are supporting the 3 Apples Book Award which was "developed to encourage the joy of reading for pleasure, and to give the children of New York State the opportunity to participate in honoring their favorite books."Students in grades 3-5 have received information regarding this project and information literature has been posted around the building.

A free Website: NASA has launched "Kids’ Club for children in kindergarten through fourth grade. It features animated educational activities and interactive games that teach youngsters about space exploration, rockets, comets, math, and more. The site is intended to "...provide a medium that encourages children’s interest in exploring the subjects important to developing early skills in science, engineering, and mathematics." The educational content is offered for five skill levels. Log on to:

KEEP THE BOX TOPS COMING

The box top contest is in full swing. Currently, Mr. Donnelly’s class is in 1st place with 285, Mrs. Barbagelata’s is in 2nd place with 239 and Mrs. Fava’s class is in 3rd place with 208 collected box tops. Quite a few box tops have been dropped off without noting whom they are from or which teacher they are for, so no credit has been given. Be sure to mark the bag with your child’s name and/or his/her teacher so that we can count them towards their class’s total. The collection box is located in the office.

Also, check out www.boxtops4education.com for money saving coupons and sign up for membership. It’s free and the school benefits when you join. If you have any questions, contact Rika Jacobsen at
