Reflections is a program of the National PTA whose purpose is to provide the opportunity
for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own
original works. The theme for this year is "I Can Make a Difference By..."
Students are asked to interpret that theme in their work in the art areas of dance choreography, film/video
production, literature,
visual arts, photography and musical composition.
Reflections is a very specific program which involves juried works processing through levels of PTA until National PTA. Winners are judged and picked by an impartial panel through National PTA. The specifics and rules of Reflections w ill be distributed to the classrooms in October. Finished works will be due by November 16, 2007. Winners and honorable mentions in each category will be announced.
Right now! Complete your entry form and read the general rules as well as the rules for the category entered (dance choreography, film/video production, special education, musical composition, photography, literature, visual arts) Students may create their work at home or school. Please be advised that each entry must be the original work of one student. Students should not put their names on the front of their work. Entry forms will be attached to each entry. Entries should be returned to Sue DiNola no later than November 16, 2007.
