Many thanks to the Skano PTA officers who served the '08-'09 school year! We had a productive and successful year thanks to the efforts of our officers, chairpersons and volunteers. Next year's PTA Executive Committee is as follows:

Dana Gould and Laura Haley      Co-Presidents
Kelly Saposnick                            Vice President
Kim Nemeth                                  Treasurer
Liz Dwyer                                     Secretary

Welcome to our new officers! Welcome to the new chairpersons who have already volunteered for next year, as well. There are still some committees that need leadership. If you are interested, please inquire with Laura Haley at laura.haley@squiggout.com or Aimee Trader at atrader@nycap.rr.com.  Volunteers are always needed and welcome! We look forward to another productive year in '09-'10!

Who We Are

Membership is open to anyone who believes in the Mission and Purposes of the National Parent Teacher Association.  Individual members may belong to any number of PTAs and pay dues in each.  Every person who joins a local PTA automatically becomes a member of both the state and National PTAs.  Together we are a powerful voice for children.  With your help, we can continue to work toward National PTA's goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child.

The Mission of the PTA

  • To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;

  • To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children;

  • To encourage parent and public involvement in public schools of this nation.
