PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS

 
ACTING      
Grades: 3-5   Learn how to act by having fun and discovering the wonderful world of theatre. Acting teaches you to believe in yourself and it is one of the most important thing to have in order to succeed and be happy. Let`s share the fun and learn more about theatre in a very positive, fun environment.
Limit: 16

Professional Actress  
     
     
ART OF CARTOONING  
Grades: 3-5   Learn to draw and have fun too!!  Taught by a professional artist.  Basic drawing, cartooning, comics, shading, watercolors, and more will be touched upon. All materials will be supplied.
Limit: 15

BOWLING    
Location: Spare Time Bowl The cost of this course includes shoes, two games per week,bus transportation from school to the bowling alley, and a pizza party on the last day of the program. Children need to bring a snack & drink. Students will not be allowed in the arcade area without parent/guardian present.

CAKE DECORATING   REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS CLASS
Grades: 4-5   Learn the steps to creating a beautifully decorated cake.  Techniques will be taught on frosting smooth cakes, shell borders, drop flowers and inscriptions.  On the final day, you will take home your completely decorated cake to share with your family.  Class fee includes all decorating supplies needed and will be yours to keep.  Students will need to bring in a baked cake on the 4th week.  Details and cake pan will be sent home.

CLASSIC BOARD GAME BLAST!
Grades: K-5   Do you like to play games?  Are you always looking for someone to play with?  This is the place to be to play some new games or some of your old favorites.  Games like Trouble, Jenga, Chutes and Ladders, Payday, Uno, Checkers and more will be offered.  What a great way to spend the winter afternoons!

CRAFTING FOR EVERYONE
Grades: K-5   Do you like making things with your hands? Crafting isn't just for girls anymore! If you like to build. If you like to work with your hands. If you're young or old, boy or girl, this class is for you! So sign up today for some crafting fun!!! Projects include making a bird house, a photo holder, a pin/magnet/key chain (you decide), a bird feeder and a chilly trading card holder.

DINOSAUR DIG   REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS CLASS
Grades: K-3   Do you dig Dinosaurs?  Through research, models, and hands on digging you will unearth all kinds of information about Dinosaurs!

FEAR FACTOR COOKING   ONLY A FEW SPACES LEFT FOR THIS CLASS
Grades: 3-5   Do you like to dabble in the strange and unusual!  Concoct some freaky foods and see if FEAR IS A FACTOR!!!!!!!!

JUNIOR COOKING   REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS CLASS
Grades: K-2   Hands on!  Create fun and healthy snacks.  Get messy while learning to prepare foods! And best of all, you get to EAT your creations!! Join us again, we have many new recipes!

MOVEMENT AND THE WORLD   THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Grades: 2-4   This fun class will combine story telling, creative arts and lots of movement. Each week, we will "explore" an exciting country from a different continent. We will learn some basic facts of the country including some new words in a different language. We will get to prepare a crafts item to bring along on our journey, and we will meet some of the local animals up close. Be prepared to roar and move like a tiger in this class!

ROBOTICS   REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS CLASS
Grades: 1-5   Children will explore and discover a technology world of Robots by building and programming various products!!!  Students begin this hands-on excitement by building their own robot and discussing the simple commands already programmed into it’s “brain”.  They proceed to an introduction to BeeBot, our new robot. BeeBot has buzzed into town to help us learn about robots and programming.  Finally, children meet Roamer, another child-friendly robot just waiting to follow your child's commands! Our students will be able to program these robots to move and draw as they are introduced to robotics and programming in an entertaining way.

SPECTACULAR SCIENCE NEW PROGRAM!!! Join us as we explore different areas of science with science professionals each week. 
Grades: 1-5   Use a high powered microscope to examine specimens (including skin cells!).
Limit: 20   ♦ Meet live lizards and reptiles as you learn all about this a
