What are celebration books?

Celebration Books are NEW (no used books, please) books donated to the Skano Library in honor of someone.  The book is personalized with a laminated custom template in the front of the book and placed in the library’s collection to be enjoyed by all for years to come.

When should I give a celebration book to the library?

There are many occasions when a celebration book can be given: child’s birthday, holiday time, child’s moving up/graduation, teacher/staff birthday, end-of-the-year appreciation, in memoriam, or just because…

How do celebration books work?

1.  You may purchase a book from your favorite bookseller (The Open Door, Borders, Amazon.com, etc.) or you may ask the library to purchase the book for you.  We ask that you check with the library before purchasing a book, as we do not want too many duplicates of the same book.

2.  Skano PTA will place a template customized with a photo (we can easily use the school’s fall photos or use one that you supply) in the front of the book.

3.  You will be shown the book before it is presented to the recipient, and placed in Skano’s library.
