Currently, as an accelerated junior at Shen, I take all senior/college courses and had the opportunity to graduate a year early with the class of 2017. Like many of the students in my position, we opt no to graduate early and instead continue on taking more upper level classes. Why is it that we are not awarded senior privileges, when academically we are held to the same (and sometimes higher) expectations as seniors? Thanks

A.  The choice to accelerate is the individual student’s choice.  The senior privileges are in place to award students who are chronologically and who plan to graduate with the senior class.
