Shenendehowa Literacy Specialists

This is the eighth year of the Literacy Specialist Program.  This program is designed to reinforce specific ELA skills for all students K-5.  These skills were identified by State and local assessments.  The Literacy Specialists will supplement these skills taught by the classroom teacher in order to enhance the District and State English Language Arts Program.  The components of this program are reading, writing, listening, speaking and language. They reflect our dedication to support the New Common Core Curriculum, New York State Standards, and 21st Century Skills.

The Shenendehowa Literacy Specialists' goals are to create a strong English Language Arts program across the district that facilitates student achievement and growth.
