Multimedia Poetry Project:

Eighth grade poetry comes alive when students combine words and images in a multimedia slideshow. Several different types of poetry (narrative, rhyming, free verse etc.) were used to express ideas about social concerns, nature, sports and other topics.

Great New York Read Aloud:

For the past 14 years, public, school and special libraries across New York State celebrate the "Great New York Read Aloud" during the month of April. In 2002, Middle School librarian Ann Hebert put together this clever project in which students listen to a literary passage read by one of their teachers and then try to correctly identify the teacher.
