Teacher Planning

Stage 2: Entry/Learning the Process
"I’m a really good teacher and I don't have anything against computers. It’s just that I don’t have time to plan for technology. I already have to prepare students for standardized testing, cover the district and state curriculum and differentiate instruction. How can I possibly manage one more thing?"

No doubt about it. Planning for meaningful technology use can be challenging. Most teachers admit that lack of time is the biggest obstacle. However, try to recognize that computers and other educational technologies are an important part of any instructional program. Although you must first endure a learning curve, once you start to establish a comfort level and see the benefits of using educational technology, you'll wonder how you ever survived without it. YOU CAN DO IT!!
