QUILTED WALL HANGING NEW
Beginning quilters will create a beautiful wall hanging while learning rotary cutting, machine piecing and quilting. A portable sewing machine is required. Everyone will be notified prior to the start of class with a list of necessary tools and supplies (approx cost $75-$100) to purchase and bring to the first class.

SILVERSMITH WORKSHOP NEW
Learn the necessary basic techniques and procedures for the design and fabrication of jewelry with metal. Create original, unique and functional jewelry in sterling silver. Instruction will include an introduction to lamination, piercing, bezel making and stone setting. You are not required to purchase any tools for the this course, however, there is a $20 materials fee that will be collected in the first class. Matt Balint is a local artist who began silversmithing Bullalo, NY and has worked in the field for 15 years. He currently holds a BA and MA degrees in education.

INTRO TO DRAWING NEW
This course will investigate various techniques that will help you begin to draw like a pro. No previous experience necessary, only enthusiasm and an open mind! Please bring the following supplies to class: an 11”x14” Bristol or Strathmore sketchpad, one pack of charcoal pencils, one pack of compressed charcoal sticks, one kneaded eraser, one white plastic eraser and a ruler or straightedge.

WATERCOLOR-BEGINNING
Watercolor basics, from washes to wet on wet, with techniques to achieve different effects will be taught by follow-along demos. You will also learn the use and importance of paint, paper and water, both together and separately. In our first class, we will go over our supply list, (which you can request in advance via e-mail at mcallan@iname.com) and the instructor will follow with a demo. The instructor will also be selling a beginner’s supply kit at the first class. Supply kits are limited so please email the instructor and request them early. Class is limited to 15.

CREATIVE MEMORIES SCRAPBOOKING
Learn how easy it is to turn boxes of photos into priceless scrapbook photo albums. In this class, you will learn step-by-step how to turn photos and memorabilia into treasured keepsake albums. BASKET WEAVING
Here is an opportunity to learn from a master basket weaver. In this course you will learn to make two new multi-purpose baskets: a single shoulder strap tote 12.5”l x 5.5”w x 10” and a With-a-Twist 4”x3”x4.5” basket that has a solid base and is woven with French randing and row-on-row featuring 2 side handles. The supply fee for both baskets is $36 payable to the instructor in the first class. Class is limited to 15.

You will learn the two most popular bead stringing techniques and make two finished pieces of jewelry to take home with you. EARRING MAKING
Come learn three different bead stringing techniques from the owner of KUMA BEADS in Burnt Hills. This “hands on” class will enable you to make three pairs of earrings to take home with you. This class is a nice extension of skills for those who have taken the bead stringing class listed above; however no prior experience is necessary. KNITTING II and KNIT NIGHT
This class is only open to students who have just completed Beginning Knitting I and those knitters who know how to cast on, bind off and are able to do the knit and purl stitches. Any knitters in the community who are working on a knitting project and need help completing their project are also welcome. In this class students will learn more knitting techniques, including increasing and decreasing, slipping stitches, knitting on circular and double pointed needles and making I-cord. These techniques will be taught through a series of small projects. The instructor will contact participants before the first class with a list of supplies. Class is limited to 8.
