Below is a list of sites that have information on authors and books that your librarian or you have selected for use for this task.  Using these sites one may be able to find information on an author, an illustrator, and reviews of a particular book along with ideas on ways to use the book in the classroom.

This is a collection of reviews of children books, ideas of ways to use them in the classroom and collections of books and activities about particular subjects, curriculum areas, themes and professional topics. Along with the review of the book there are things to notice and talk about, activities, related books and more.

The Children Literature’s Web Guide

This site by the Director, Doucette Library of Teaching Resources at the University of Calgary Canada, is an attempt to gather together and categorize the growing number of Internet resources related to books for Children and Young Adults.

Great Sites from the American Library Association.

This site has over 700 sites compiled by the Children and Technology Committee of the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association.Under Literature and Language are Favorite Children's Stories, Expanding the Classics, Authors and Illustrators, Look It Up! , Writing by Children and Children's Book Awards.
