El Niño or El No-no
http://www.powayschools.com/projects/elnino/
This site is a WebQuest created by Keith Nuthall, a Instructional Technology Specialist at a California K-12 school. This quest has students researching background information on El Niño, gathering historical and real-life data and constructing a model of an El Niño cycle, and then speculating on the effects of the model and presenting the information. This is a good example of similar task in a WebQuest form.

El Niño: online meteorology guild

This site is part of An Online Guide to Meteorology produced by The Department of Atmospheric Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The guide incorporates text, colorful diagrams, animation, and simulations to introduce El Niño. The information includes the definition of El Niño, upwelling, non-El Niño years, El Niño events, sea surface temperatures, impact on weather, economic impact and prediction.

El Niño: Hot Air over Hot Water
