This UK based quarterly refereed journal publishes articles on current political and culture topics.  The site has a link to the Full Index of all of the journals articles and a WWW Directory that contains links to electronic journals, print journals, newsgroups and other resources on sociology.

Public Agenda Online

Public Agenda Online provides eighteen issue guides that cover topics such as crime, education, environment, immigration, social security, and welfare. Each issue guide "contains an overview of the issue, a news digest of recent stories, background data, various perspectives on the issue, resources for more information, and analyses of related public opinion drawn from major public opinion polls."  The site also posts highlights of research reports, presents "critiques on the current state of polling," and offers a weekly email alert service, Public Agenda Alert.

The Roper Center for Public Opinion Research at the University of Connecticut is "the largest library of public opinion data in the world."   The catalog and the data banks provide summary information on surveys and studies measuring public opinion on a wide range of social, political, and economic issues.

This site, part of the US Department of Education's web site, allows one to search 16 databases for information. 

SSRN FAQ

Social Science Research Network (SSRN) is a world wide collaborative of scholars that is devoted to the dissemination of social science research. The SSRN Electronic Library contains information about working and accepted papers in the fields of financial economics, accounting research, legal scholarship, economic research and Latin American economics.  From the FAQ's click on "How do I locate a paper that may be in the SSRN Electronic Library?"  Read the directions and click on the link there to search and download the papers.
