Web Style Guide, 2nd Edition    
Here is the online version of a book with the same name, that demonstrates the step-by-step process involved in designing a Web site. The guide gives few technical details but instead focuses on the usability, layout, and attractiveness of a Web site, with the goal being to make it as popular with the intended audience as possible.
