HAZCOM Information

New York State law requires all employees (including substitutes) receive instruction annually regarding toxic substances at their work sites.

If you attended a HAZCOM training session during the 2007-2008 school year, this requirement has been satisfied for the 2007-2008 school year ONLY.  To be in compliance with this regulation for the 2008-2009 school year, IT WILL BE NECESSARY FOR YOU TO UPDATE THE HAZCOM TRAINING YOU HAVE RECEIVED.  If you are a new applicant for substituting, you must attend a HAZCOM training prior to working in a classroom.

At each session, participants will be asked to sign in. This will be the District’s only verification that you have attended this mandatory training.  A $5.00 payment will be made to you after attending this HAZCOM training session.
