The Board of Education recognizes the sale of class rings helps to promote a sense of class identity, unity, and spirit, and is a valuable fundraising activity for the class. In addition, the process of selecting the vendor and publicizing the sale is a beneficial learning experience for the class officers.

The class officers, under the guidance of appropriate staff, shall follow a formal competitive selection process to identify a vendor. Students may participate in class ring purchase activities only during non-class time.

The class officers will be responsible for promoting the sale of class rings.

The high school principal or designee will develop and promulgate procedures and guidelines to be followed by the class officers, advisor, and designated vendor in order to ensure compliance with this policy.
