Interactive Language Activities for Primary Students

High Frequency Sight Words

These activities are designed to help your child practice sight words at home. Each word list has 2 activities. The Listen and Learn activity allows the child to hear the words pronounced correctly before repeating the word out loud and hearing it in a sentence. After familiarizing him/herself with the word list, the Review and Practice activity provides practice in reading the sight words without the aid of the teacher’s voice. This activity allows a 4 second response time before the next word is presented. Please monitor your child for accuracy as he/she practices. Activities are designed to play in Windows Media Player. They can be saved (right-click and choose Save Target As) to your own computer to use offline. Click on List 1, List 2 or List 3 below to begin.
