Welcome to Mr. Andersen's 6th Grade Earth Science Web WikiPortal

Incoming 6th graders can start signing up today!

The goal of this space is to create a working review of the science units that we complete throughout the year. In order to provide a more collaborative workspace to review what the correct answers are to the different parts of a unit, I am inviting all of the students in my science classes to help create a final document. The document can be used as a reference, a resource, and a model of an A+ assignment. Your changes will count towards wikipoints. These will be counted toward your grade as additional assignments, and a more complete explanation can be found on the site. Please note that this is a Private Space, No personal information is posted and I directly monitor all postings. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Since this is a  private site and I only allow certain visitors, I will need to invite you to join and then be added as a collaborator. You will need to send me your email address so that you can access the Google Sites account in order to access my Sci-Wiki site.  I will then send you the invitation and you can start to contribute.

PLEASE FOLLOW THIS PROCESS WHEN CREATING AN ACCOUNT:

  • Send me an e-mail requesting an invitation to the SciWiki
  • I send the invitation and you follow the link provided to Google
  • If you have not already set up a Google account, then you must set up an account
  • The account asks for a current email, to create a password, country, age and a scrambled word to retype.
  • Google sends a verification email to the email address you just entered
  • When you get the email from Google, click on the verification link and then you can log into your Google account.
  • Once in the Google Account, change your "Profile" to a name and class that I know.
  • In the area Google Account Settings -  My Products there is a link called My Sites that is how you get to the SciWiki.

Plan for what is difficult while it is easy, do what is great while it is small.  The most difficult things in the world must be done while they are still easy, the greatest things in the world must be done while they are still small.  For this reason sages never do what is great, and this is why they can still achieve that greatness.
