Weather You Like It Or Not                                    Timeline:  3 Weeks

Critical Questions:


·         Describe weather as the conditions of the atmosphere at a given location for a short period of time.
·         Describe how fronts are associated with large weather areas and can lead to severe weather.
·         Identify and use weather maps including symbols to predict future weather.
·         Students will understand that climate is the characteristic weather that prevails from season to season and year to year.
·         Compare substances that enter the atmosphere naturally and from human activity and explain how these substances might affect weather, climate, and living things.
·         Students will use and interpret graphs and data tables to make predictions and understand trends.
