HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS

Citizenship Passes

comment heading graphic

What are junior citizenship passes and how does one attain one of these passes?

response heading graphic

The citizenship pass is for grade 11 students.  It allows them to access academic areas such as the library and computer labs without a pre-signed pass. It is based on academic achievement, attendance and discipline.  Students may present completed citizenship forms to the CAP (class assistant principal) in the South Office of High School East.

How is it fair for someone who gets an 84 in an AP class not to be able to get a junior citizen pass, just because it's not an 85? If the student were to take a regular class, the student would have met the 85 requirement and be able to have a citizen pass....how is this fair?

We encourage all students to push themselves to mastery no matter what level of class they take.

Junior Autobiography

comment heading graphic

I have a question about the Junior Autobiography.  I am entering my Senior year this fall, and I still have not returned the Autobiography.  Is there anyway I can return it at the start of school, and still have my Senior conference?  I heard that without the Junior Autobiography, a student is unable to have their Senior conference.

The junior autobiography is an important document that enables your counselor to best assist you in your college search and application process. It is a prerequisite to a senior conference. That being said, you can still turn it in at the start of school and then schedule a conference.
