Varsity Softball Head Coach: Dan D'Amboise Dan D’Amboise started coaching varsity softball during the 2001 season. During his seven years coaching varsity softball at Shenendehowa High School his teams has posted a combine 166-21-2 record. He has been recognized as the Suburban Council Coach of the Year in 2006. Dan’s teams have won five consecutive Section II titles beginning in 2003 through 2007. His teams have been to the State Final game twice. The 2003 squad finished the season with a 28-2 record and won the State Title at Clifton Commons by a score of 1-0 in 12 innings. His 2007 team also competed in the State Finals after posting a record of 24-2-1. They lost in the final game 1-0. The 2005 team posted a 27-2 record and garnered a Regional Title to accompany their Section II title. The team’s season ended with the State’s semi-final contest. The 2004 team (22-5) and the 2006 team (23-3) both won Section II titles before losing in the Regional contest. Dan has been teaching at Shenendehowa High School for 36 years. He is currently the Math Department’s Academic Administrator. He currently coaches the Varsity Golf Team and has coached the Varsity Wrestling Team.

Varsity Softball Assistant Coach: Sara Coddington
Sara Coddington (2B, RF) was a starter for the Ithaca College Varsity Softball team. During her tenure at Ithaca College (2002-2005), the Lady Bombers won the NCAA Division III National Championship in 2002, compiled four consecutive trips to the NCAA Northeast Regionals, won four consecutive Empire 8 Conference Championships, and finished fourth at the NCAA Division III World Series in 2005. Sara Coddington was a Tri-Captain (senior year), an Empire 8 First-Team all-conference selection (‘02, ‘03, ‘04), and a member of the NCAA Regional all-tournament team (2004). Other accolades include: ECAC Upstate NY first-team selection (2004) and second-team selection (2002), and New York State third-team all-region (2002). Sara is the only player in Ithaca College Softball history to start in all 50 games as a freshman. Professionally, Coddington is in her third year teaching Physical Education at High School East. Varsity Softball Assistant Coach: Frank Peduto Frank Peduto began as the assistant coach for Shenendehowa varsity softball in 2001. He serves as the team’s hitting coach and bench coach. During his seven years as the assistant coach the team has posted a combined record of 166-21-2. As the hitting coach, Frank is most proud of the team’s overall .311 batting average over the last four seasons. Frank has been coaching baseball and softball for 25 years. Prior to coaching at Shenendehowa Frank was head coach for Clifton Park Baseball’s Connie Mack and Senior Babe Ruth teams. He subsequently coached 16 and 18 year old Miss Shen travel softball teams and, just prior to joining Shenendehowa, he was assistant coach for the Adirondack Ice in the Women’s Collegiate league. Frank is a Civil Engineering graduate of the University of Rhode Island and is a licensed New York State Professional Engineer. He worked for the Department of Environmental Conservation for 25 years as the technical manager for the Petroleum Spill group. He currently works in the private sector as a senior environmental engineer for SPECTRA Environmental Group in Latham. Frank and his wife Eloise are log-time residents of Clifton Park. They have two married children, three grandchildren, and both are die-hard Red Sox fans.

Junior Varsity Softball Head Coach: Chris Farquharson Chris Farquharson is entering his 9th season as the Junior Varsity coach at Shenendehowa. His teams have comprised a record of 152 -6 with three undefeated seasons in 2000, 2007, and 2008. Over the past nine seasons the Junior Varsity has won the Mudville tournament in 2002, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Coach Farquharson graduated from Marist College in 1999 receiving his degree in Psychology/Special Education and Elementary Education. He also earned his School Administration degree from the University of Albany in 2004. Coach Farquharson is currently a 4th grade teacher and science coordinator for Skano Elementary. In his spare time Coach Farquharson directs the Miss Shen Elite Softball Clinic in Clifton Park as well being an intervention counselor for Peace Camp in the summer. He and his wife, Meghan reside in Ballston Lake with their three daughters Mackenzie, Hailey and Quinn. He is assisted by Jenn Marro.

Junior Varsity Softball Assistant Coach: Jenn Marro Coach Marro graduated from Bethlehem High School in 2003 and was a 4 year letter winner in Track and Softball. Coach Marro Graduated from Ithaca College in 2007 with a B.A. in Mathematics Education and played softball there from 2003-2007. She won 4 Empire 8 championships, 2 NCAA Regional championships and went to the Division III college world series in 2005 and 2006 (finished 4th, and 5th respectively). Coach Marro was a 2006 NCAA Regional All Tournament team selection as an outfielder and 1st Team all empire 8 outfielder in 2007. She lead the Empire 8 in slugging percentage in 2007 and lead the team in homeruns (7) and extra base hits. Coach Marro graduated from University of Rochester in 2008 with a Master's of Science in Curriculum and Teaching, and was a volunteer with the Rochester Softball team for the Fall of 2007. This is Coach Marro's first year at Shen as an assistant Coach.

Freshman Softball Head Coach: Bob Swider Bob Swider in his 26th softball coaching season, current freshmen coach 2003 - 2008. Started at Shen in 1985 JV coach 1986 - 1997 Shen Varsity Coach, 1998 JV coach. Coaching career started 1976 - 1981 Varsity softball coach at Bishop Scully HS in Amsterdam, N.Y. Participated in the inaugural Section II softball tournament which began in 1976 (Runners up in Class B in '76 and '77).

Freshman Softball Assistant Coach: Carley Amedore Carley Amedore is entering her 1st season of assisting with the Freshman Softball Team. She is also currently in her 1st year of teaching Physical Education in the Shenendehowa Middle Schools. This past fall Carley coached Freshman Volleyball and assisted with Freshman Basketball. A 2007 graduate of Castleton State College, Amedore earned a Bachelors of Science in Physical Education and concentrations in Sports Administration and Coaching. During her time at Castleton she was a 4 year starter for the Women’s Basketball program and was named captain her junior and senior years. In the spring of her senior year Carley became a member of the Softball program where she earned a spot as their starting center fielder. While at Castleton State College Carley was the recipient of their "College Service Award" in 2006 and 2007 and also was named AAHPERD’s Eastern District "Outstanding Future Professional" in 2006.
