Text Box:        To those of you that helped out at the Haunted House, we would like to thank you so much for your time and effort.  The firemen were more impressed than they have ever been, as were the officers and advisors.  You all did a great job with set up, and clean up was extremely quick.  Due to the number of people who left trembling, screaming, and even crying, I’d say it was a job well done.  Thanks again!

Text Box: turn out in years past has been exceptional; an expected 250-500 guests arrive each year.  This dinner allows all members of our community a chance to give thanks and to have a great time.
Because the Key Club  is responsible for planning this big event, we need a lot of help to have a successful night.  This year in particular is very special because we are dedicating the dinner in honor of Ms. Susan Derivage, who recently passed away.  She had for many years been the chief coordinator of the dinner, working with the other members of the cafeteria staff to make an amazing meal.
Although many of the clubs in the school will be helping out (ex: SADD, Senate, Respect, Leo …), we can never have too many volunteers.  We will need people to help set up for the event right after school, along with helping to serve food.  Set up will be 10 points, and helping out at the dinner
Text Box: and cleaning up is worth 15.
We also need people to donate pies.  WE NEED A LOT OF PIES!!! You can bake them yourself, or buy them, but make sure they are in disposable dishes, and not your mother’s favorite pie plate.  We will also be giving 5 points for every pie you donate.  In the past, favorite types of pie include pumpkin, pecan, and mincemeat (Rule of thumb: If you don’t like, chances are they will, and vice versa).  Pies should be dropped off in the High School West or East Main Office.  When you drop them off,  there should be a sign up sheet for you to write your name and the amount of pies you brought.  This is to ensure that you get the points you deserve.  Make sure, however, that you sign in on the Key Club sheet, because there will be other club sign-ins.  Your donations and time are much appreciated!
Text Box:    As November begins, you are all probably exhausted.  School is in full swing, 1st quarter is ending, and Halloween has just passed.  However, there is the idea that Thanksgiving is right around the corner that makes it all worth it.  Everyone loves Thanksgiving, and the Key Club believes that everyone should enjoy a nice Thanksgiving meal.  That is why every year we host the annual Friendship Dinner at Shenendehowa.  On the night of November 15th, the Shenendehowa High School East puts on a Thanksgiving Dinner, in which we invite the Senior Citizens from the community to enjoy.  Many of the guests are nursing home residents and would otherwise spend Thanksgiving alone, especially if their families live far away.  The
