On Thursday evening May 15, 2008 6:25pm at the Empire State Plaza "Shenendehowa Central Schools" will be sending a team to take to the roads of downtown Albany for a 3.5 mile jaunt. In continuing to promote good health and fitness, and share some camaraderie, we invite all members of the district faculty and staff to join us. We are not trying to win the race, only show a little "Shen Pride" by involving as many individuals as we possibly can. You do not have to be a runner to join this team. The pace you choose to take on this day is entirely up to you. Last year Shenendehowa brought a team of 125 enthusiastic individuals to Albany, winning the award  for the largest educational organization participation. This year our goal is to reach the 200 mark. This is the 29^th year of the "Team Challenge" and an estimated 5000 runners, walkers, and joggers, representing more than 300 of the Region’s finest organizations will participate. The Charity of Choice selected by GHI is Living Resources. This organization is dedicated to providing life-enhancing services to individuals with disabilities.  Please come join the team. What a great way to get ready for the spring by doing a little spring cleaning of the body and mind!
