Instructional Strategies |
| Definition: Instructional strategies are the tools, methods, resources and assessments employed by teachers to achieve desired curricular goals for all students in accordance with the values and beliefs set forth in the district's Commitment to Excellence, and the Profile of a Shenendehowa Graduate. |
| Criteria: |
| * Instructors will have a broad base of academic knowledge with competence and expertise in their area. |
| * Instruction will include a variety of strategies/settings that identify and accommodate individual learning styles so that learning becomes meaningful and relevant to each student. |
| * Instructional strategies will promote active involvement of students in their own learning. |
| * Instructional strategies will promote a social/physical environmental that is conducive to learning and conveys a sense of caring to students. |
| * Instructional strategies will integrate assessment so that it becomes part of the learning process itself. |
| * Instructional strategies wil include technology in ways that improve student learning. |
